How is capacity calculated?

Daily consumption is divided by peak sun hours, then system losses (heat, dust, cables and inverter) are added. The result is rounded up to whole panels.

What about batteries?

For off-grid systems, battery capacity = daily consumption × days of autonomy ÷ usable depth of discharge. Lithium batteries can use more of their capacity than lead-acid.

Why voltage drop matters

A thin or long cable wastes energy as heat. On the DC side, keeping the drop under 3% is a common design target.
