Cleaning and maintaining solar panels

Simple tips that keep your plant's output high all year round.

1 min read

Solar panels have no moving parts, but dust and loose connections can slowly reduce production.

Cleaning

  • Clean early in the morning or in the evening; cold water on a hot panel can damage the glass.
  • Use soft water and a soft brush or sponge — no abrasives or harsh detergents.
  • In dusty areas, check the panel surface every few weeks.

Regular inspection

Check cables, connectors and structure bolts every few months. Keep the inverter well ventilated and take its error messages seriously.

If daily production drops without a clear reason, call a specialist before doing anything else.
